Ruins of the Forte São Luiz (Fort St. Louis) - Parcial view
The fort dates from 1567 when an observation post was settled. The efective initial building started in 1769 until 1775 when it was completed.
Abandoned since 1831.

Hi Celso
Nicely framed view with a good dof even at f4! The lighting works well to bring out the texture in the stones and we get a good view of this famous mountain beyond.

Que bela foto vc conseguiu deste angulo e posição.
As cores estão ótimas e a nitidez tb.
é uma pena que esses monumentos não tenham o devido cuidado pelo municipio ou sei lá quem...
ótima composição com o Pão de açucar ao fundo de cenário.

Que cenário espetacular! Para mim, uma vista inusitada do Pão de Açúcar. A sucessão dos montes dá uma grande profundidade. Cores, luz e texturas excelentes.

estou começando a aprender a apreciar "scapes" em geral e sua imagem é show.
Impressionante construirem um forte para durar menos de 100 anos.

engraçado acho que já vi uma foto muito igual a essa em algum lugar. Essa está muito boa com ótima nitidez e profundidade. Apesar de abandonado, o aspecto do local ficou bem interessante, como se fosse um achado arquelógico.

The way Sugar Loaf echoes the tower is striking. You can feel the heat of the bright light on the stone .. beautiful setting .. wonderful image.

From my POV, the turret should be a little more on the right to get a wider view.

Anyway, the depth is good and the landscape impressive so...great!

Very skilfully carried composition. Good use of strong points in the frame, and excellent depth. The light was probably strong but You managed well not to blown out the highlights.

This is a great shot. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness.

Hello Celso,

In this well composed shot, you frame the iconic Sugarloaf between the slopes on one side and the watch out post of the fortification on the other. What an amazing topography the coast has around Rio de Janeiro.
