Photographer’s Note
Mount Tabor is located in Lower Galilee, at the eastern end of the Jezreel Valley, 11 miles (17 km) west of the Sea of Galilee. Its elevation at the summit is 1,843 feet (575 m) above sea level. It is believed by many to be the site of the Transfiguration of Christ.
It is also known as Har Tavor, Itabyrium, Jebel et-Tur, and the Mount of Transfiguration. On the peak is The Church of the Transfiguration seen here.
Three Arab villages are at the bottom of the mount - Shibli (east), Umm Al-Ghanam (south east) and Daburiyya (west).

Hi David.
You captured a nice wide view, the light is great. I like the begining on the right with the shadow. The fields, roads and the villages give a nice effect.
I will be back.

Hi Dave,
I love the rich brown colors, the vast skies and amazing depth of the picture.
I am quite surprised it got so little attention.
The fields look like a beautiful patch work.

Hi David,
What a wonderful tapestry of colors and a lovely patchwork of plowed and planted fields is seen from this historic mount. The trees in the foreground contrast well with the tree-less fields below.

Superb composition and lighting, David!
The composition is well built, with the tree acting as a secondary subject and a framing element to the wide scenery. You built it nicely, from FG (the grass) through MG (the line of trees) and BG (the valley bellow). Good emphasize on the ground and less on the sky to get that superb depth feeling...The polarizer was smartly used!
TFS!

Hi David,
What a lovely peaceful view of the farmland and villages stretching to the the Sea of Galilee. I've heard of the places many times, and they look nothing like my image of them. Thank you for teaching me about the world; I find your note partucularly instructive, HLJ, pat
