Photographer’s Note
Sliammon First Nation's Singers performed at an annual Festival held in the Lund Community Gazebo called 'Earth Day'.
The Sliammon Peoples are presently negotiating a land treaty with the provincial government of BC. This treaty is significant for it will determine the future for their cultural integrity, social and economical security.
The songs drummed and sang have been handed down from mother to daughter on stage and grandfather looking on.
Speaking with the grandfather, a true story teller, all that he said were antidoted with being told the same story from his mother and grandmother.
