Photographer’s Note

This is composed of 4 images. The technique used was HDR.
You can see that some time passed between exposures if you look at the clouds carefully.

Shutter speeds were from 1/200 - 1/2500

I am still learning the HDR and any comments are useful.

Spectacular scenery Shir. The smooth silky appearance of the sky with the inclusion of the firey red looks brilliant against the blue and darkened snow.

Superb compo, light and colours. Very good photo. You have even captured the texture of the ice. I have no idea what HDR is, but it seems to work magnifically.

Good composition with the row of trees between the nice fore-and background.Good contrast between the "blue" snow and the wonderful orange tones of the sky.
I know nothing about HDR,but I think you maged it perfect.Is there a good link about this tecnique?

Hi Shir..

Nice dreamy photo..I like this little hill covered with snow..few trees groing on it..the sky is just incredible..lovely tones. I think the HDR resulted in a fairly nice image..although around the trees..there is much light/halo's..which doesn't seem natural.
Except for that, quality, colours, saturation, exposure ..all great!

Hello Shir,

For sure HDR is not a so easy technic but it is in some case the only way to get the good picture at the end.
thanks to have shared this ones as it is well equilibrated with a nice opposition in the warm colors of the sky and the cold of this ice.

Hi Shir. I haven’t spent too much time on HDR myself yet. But when I get time… Anyway, about your photo. I think that slight movement of the clouds adds a dynamic element to the scene. Great composition and POV also. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Hi Shir,
It's a wonderful photo, mcuh dreamy and with a fabulous pov and very nice tones.
I think that overall the HDR resulted very well - although there is the sharpness on the sahdows is a bit strange, actually I think it isn't much disturbing because it can pass as an efect of the ice.
