Captured on my first trip to the US in 1992. A friend who worked for a software firm in Mountain View, California wanted to show me around. So we drove down to the local airport and took off in this single-engine plane. We flew down to San Francisco, took in the scenery from air and then came back. All within in 60-75 minutes. My friend obviously a licensed pilot did this quite regularly, just like driving down to nearby towns. I was quite impressed with the lifestyle.

PP: Originally taken on film. Scanned in using Nikon CoolScan IV. The negative was quite damaged. I was able to restore it thanks to Photoshop.
