Photographer’s Note
Between Chichen Itza and Uxmal, I really think that Uxmal is better... Perhaps a better preservation of the site ? (Or maybe because the weather was better ?)
Anyway, both are a must to see.
This place is the quadrangle of the nuns (name like this because it looks like the court of of a monastery). It is located near the magician pyramid.
Lot of Mayan places are so unknown : almost all ruins desciption contain at least one 'maybe', 'perhaps' or 'suppose'... It does not help, so just forget it (and the guide) and imagine yourself. It is often a lot of fun with friends :)
NB : Please don't stay in all inclusive hotels of the Maya Riviera and spend some times visiting the wonders of Yucatan. Just one thing : beware of the 'Topes' !!! 100 a day is sometimes hard for your back...
