Photographer’s Note

Meet him, Swapan Chetri, A nepali boy in Darjeeling. Swapan studies in Eighth standard and fluent in english. Allthough this place is mostly populatd with Gorkha and Nepali people, as there are large number very high standard schools available, most of the students are very much fluent in english speaking, while older people still stick to Nepali language .

I was interacting with them in english while they were playing in the playground . It was bright and sunny day after a couple of weeks, so people are celebrating.
