Photographer’s Note

It seems that when in Pisa you must pay homage to the local deity by taking part in a ritual which, no doubt, goes back many hundreds of years.

Apparently it is necessary to hold up both your hands and look very pleased with yourself while turning towards a friend who will photographically record the event for posterity.

Tourists come from all over the world to take in this brief, but significant, ceremony and return home to spread the word about this ever-growing ritual.
