Photographer’s Note
Image was taken when going ice fishing, no luck with fish, but some surprising ice structures. The ice formations in the picture were most probably formed when sea water was spraying on the rocks when air temperature was below zero.
This was taken 2 winters ago. Last winter there was no such phenomenon in the same place. I guess it takes rather special conditions for the creation of these.

Hi Shir
Nice picture of ice arttwork. Very good exposure management. If you miss the hole, you will not be bucky for fishing ;-)

bonjour Shir,
ces images sont assez rares mais toujours très belles. Bonne idée d'avoir serré le cadrage, les détails sont intéressants. Sur la composition il y a peut-être quelque chose à faire.

Hello Shir,
Beautiful image :) This foreground is like jaws mad of rock and ice. Nice composition with enough place to let the eyes go to the background. Beautiful colors, also.
Best regards, Laurent.

Hi Shir,
Light shows the icicles quite beautifully. Never seen anything like that. Also well composed shot giving good closeup details and background of the frozen sea.

Hi Shir,
Natural art turned into beautiful human art!
Besides the subject, which is unique and wonderful, I like very much the compo you did and the exceptional technical quality of everything (colors, sharpness, exposure adjustment).
It's rather amazing the dazzling efect of not having any means to evaluate the dimensions. It makes it a bit surreal in a pleasant manner, as one can imagine that it is the entrance to a huge ice cave on the top of a mountain.
