Photographer’s Note
No, this is not Greece - although you will not be the first one to think it is.
This place is almost 4 km above sea level!!
The beautiful island of Isla del Sol - very inviting and can be warm enough for a sun bathing - but the sun is fierce at this altitude in the tropics.
Water is cold though - around 10C year round.
from wikipedia:
Lake Titicaca is the highest commercially navigable lake in the world , at 3,812 m (12,507 feet) above sea level. Located in the Altiplano high in the Andes on the border of Peru and Bolivia, at 16°S 69°W, Titicaca has an average depth of 107 m, and a maximum depth of 281 m. The western part of the lake belongs to the Puno Region of Peru, and the eastern side is located in the Bolivian La Paz Department.
More than 25 rivers empty into Titicaca, and the lake has 41 islands, some of which are densely populated.
Titicaca is fed by rainfall and meltwater from glaciers on the sierras that abut the Altiplano. It is drained by the Desaguadero River, which flows south through Bolivia to Lake Poopó. This accounts for less than five per cent of the lake's water loss, however, the rest is caused by evaporation as a result of the strong winds and sunlight at this altitude.

It really does look like a cove or bay somewhere in the Mediterranean! The blue colour of the water is great, and the scenery is beautiful. Nice viewpoint too.

Shir,
Very good composition with a great POV. Great color and lighting with excellent sharpness. It does look like this should be a photo from Greece.
A beautiful lake with a very rugged landscape makes for good contrast.

Hi Shir,
I love this image: excellent POV, great textures asnd impressive colors. That little red thing (I assume it is a boat, maybe upside down?) gives a scale to the whole image. If you don't mind my asking, could you elaborate on the use of both UV and CP filters? Nice work, TFS!
Cheers,
Catalin

Hello Shir,
Well I've never been to Greece, and looking at your picture, I new immediately that this was somewhere on the andean plateau! Your compo is well balanced with the small cove in the foreground and the hils in the back- The colours have been enhanced by the use of the polarizer, but the effect is not overdone. Just lovely.

Hi Shir,
Vamos a la playa, eh ? A very nice overlooking PoV to view this paradisiac but fortunately still widely unknown beach, and the result as we can see it that it gets significantly less crowded than in Greece ;-)
Exposure and colors are very good as well here.
Have a nice day,
JEan-Yves

You framed this beautiful little cove very nicely Shir, and the depth of colour is wonderful, especially in the sea.
The composition is very well balanced, with good use of the foreground rocks and the trees lining the beach to frame the scene.
Excellent work.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Shir. Wonderful photo. I love the colours and composition. The blue sky contrasts well with the barren brown land. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
