Harmony

After the Learning to fly photo comes another one, this time with senior flyers on another lake. Zbilje Lake situated near Ljubljana is one of Europeans winter ports for these one of the biggest flying birds, the swans. It is already packed with these beauties and the number will even grow. I like this gracefull and clever birds, especially when they take off out of the water. The photo was converted to B/W because the contrast was already high.

How are things going, very busy at home I guess...
I think this one works well in BW because of the good contrasts. I know the number two is meaningful for you at this very moment but it could be interesting as well to remove the right one.

Hi Aleks,
A really lucky shot, you got them both flying in the same rhythm towards you. Good focus although the right one is slightly less sharp. Background works well in B&W.

Nice shot and one that shows good dynamism. The point of view is great and the black and white medium works well. I probably would have had a slightly higher shutter speed to bring out the sharpness of the bird on the right a bit more, but the scene, with its high contrast, is superb.

Beautiful POV, those swans just look so peaceful (After they actually got out of the water...)
B&W works great as it stops other colours from interfering with the targets.
A very nice element about the swans is the action that has been captured with the moving wing.

Almost a copy the two geese, you has captured the moment with precision, the point of view is great and the black and white medium works well. I'm no BW fan but this is very well. Thanks for sharing.

These's a fellow sitting here looking over my shoulder, waiting for his turn on this computer at my hotel, he comment when I opened the photo was, "Ah that's beautiful" and it is. I guess this may be the way you and your wife are feeling right now! I like your new intro photo as well!! Captureing a bird flying is very difficult, framing two in perfect harmony ios nothing short of amazing. i've add the photo to Birds in flight as well.

well captured moment in a luminoius b/w. The dark surroundings and the bright birds creates an effect as if they were glowing. Very beautifully shot and prepared for us.

Pa, kada ovoliko ljudi napiše komentar, teško je dodati nešto novo. Ono što je na mene ostavilo najveći utisak je svakako izbor black/white kolor opsega. To je sigurno ovoj fotki dalo posebnu "težinu". Samo tako nastavi!
