Photographer’s Note
I have been very busy at work the past few months so I haven't had nearly enough time to take photos. We were away for a couple of days at Gibsons up the Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately our 13 month old son was getting a little fussy near the end of the day (about 1/2 hour before this shot). So despite the light continuing to improve, we had to leave to placate him. We went to a nearby coffee shop to buy a coffee and I left my wife and son for about 20 minutes to run back and take a few shots. Just as I arrived, the sun dipped below the cloud cover to strike a few low lying clouds with this result.
The only adjustment was crop and a minor boost in saturation. The light truly was spectacular.

You may think i am crazy but I think this photo would be better by cropping some of the top off. There would still be plenty of clouds to make the shot. Overall nice job. I know what you mean about fussy kids.

Oh my God! It's "The Don"! Hahah...
Long time no see here on TE mate, hope all is well with you and the family.
Another nice shot from beautiful BC here. Level horizon, good composition with the horizon quite low- bringing focus to the sunset and reflections off the clouds.
On another note- I'll be arriving back in BC mid Dec., and are planning a TE meet (myself, PJE, ANN75, JOHN_C, and CORMAC)- on Sun, 17th Dec. feel free to join us if you wish.
All the best, and welcome back (but for how long?)

Hi Donald,
sunsets don't always get due recognition on TE. This one is superb. Great light and colour. A fine shot, well seen and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy New Year.

Once again, your use of colour astounds me. I like this one for the rule of thirds used as well as the sharp contrast between the orange hues and the blacks.
Nice work.
