Photographer’s Note
Nothing can be compared with Il Campo, the beautiful rounded main square of Siena, Tuscany. Broad, all in 'siena brown colour', rounded, slightly inclined, so that when you sit on it, you are allways looking at the great Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia. You could sit there for hours, just watching people coming by and enjoying old architecture masterpieces. This picture is taken from Torre del Mangia, a more than 100 meters high tower, from which you can have a look on the whole city. Its shadow and the pallace shadow is falling heavilly on the square, the whole scenery looks like a giant sun clock. Even from this altitude a hreat harmony of the place can be felt.

Lovely, I love old architecture!
I posted a revised version with more light in the shadow area.

Great viewpoint & the tower's shadow does work like a giant sundial! The colours of the buildings come across well here too.

Very good shot, Vid, a great idea to include this contrast shadow so that we have an idea of both the square and the tower itself. Very well seen and framed.
Cheers

Mi piace molto questa piazza e mi piace molto Siena, la città piú bella d'Italia.
Ottimo scatto. Bella inquadratura e bello il contrasto tra l'ombra e la luce della piazza.
Complimenti
Ciao
Andrea
