Hello Arjun.
Wow, you handling of the lighting is awesome. The warm glow cast upon the woman is amazing. The repetition of the candles adds to the photo and the action of her holding one candle really connects the woman with the light. It is a very beautiful picture.
Regards,
Chris.
PS. What was the data for this shot, if you have it?

This picture is very interesting because of the girl perforning the ritual. I like the candles and the light emited by them shining on the compo. Good natural expression on her face showing devotion for her beliefs. Nice picture Arjun :-)

Hello Arjun,
This is a very effective photo, a testament to have good digital photography has become. The composition is very good and so is the sharpness. I can suggest a small trick to improve it: crop it 800x484 pixels (at a quality of "8") and you will achieve the golden ratio (1:1.618) that has proven to be especially appealing to the eye.
On a personal note, I am happy to see a scientist-artist (a PhD candidate at the Saha Institute). I am a theoretical physicist and an artist also. Regards from Virginia, Bulent

Hi Arjun,
the warm glow of the candle light as well as the intimate moment youve captured for us make this one a really nice shot. Framed well you show the multitude of candles as well as her face. 3 second exposure? Is that right? She must have been really steady;)
