Photographer’s Note
Hey White Horse, Get in Lane!!!
It was the day of the Carnival de Virgin Mary. The street on the other side was filled with beauifully adorned street dancers from various parts of Peru.
On this side of the street, the traffic kept crawling through. All of a sudden, there was a parade of police on horses patrolling the streets. They were specially commissioned to keep a vigil on the parade, I suppose.
PS: Sorry about getting the behind of the horses, but this picture was much better than one of their faces ;)

Interesting to se so many horses riding through the streets of a greater city. Actually this could be the solution of global warming and CO2 emissions! But who would be willing to step back and go slower?
Otherwise it is curious how many police presence is required in South American countries. People are still not happy with what they get ... Carnival could rapidly grow into a demonstration and challenge the local goverment.
I lke the back of the horses ;-)
Greetings, Peter
