Photographer’s Note
Along the frozen banks of a river in Klosters in the Swiss Alps we wandered. The sun was out but the air had a piercing coldness to it that took your breath away when you inhaled...
The scene is taken looking up toward Monbiel. The trees have just received a sugar coating of fresh snow, which is able to remain on the branches on account of the biting cold.
Every picture I took on this day was a winner. No flash. No tripod (I was standing still enough at 20°F). No filters. Scanned. Resized. No pp work. One river.
Upon receipt of critiqu, I shaved a person off the left hand edge of the picture with little cropping and squeezed it a little into the vertical to fit into TE specs.
