Photographer’s Note
Took this photo when I was in Istanbul last year... Saw this Turkish man sitting by himself at one of the windows in the Blue Mosque and caught the right moment of him peering away to the outside world.
Post Processing - Cropped off a lot of excess nothingness around all sides, converted to greyscale and hightened the shadow and contrast details. Finally topped it off with the unsharp mask to bring out some of the details on the side of the window and subject.

Nice shot Derrick. I like it b&w tones, lighting is very interesting here.
I don't find this overexposed area distracting, it's fine. And coposition is very good as well.
Very well done!

I am glad I came to see this picture while looking at your Gulhane trees..
this is a great picture..man looking at the tourist couple ouside, woman's head in the corner ( if so close, she is probably his wife), open windows and summer heat..all tells a story..their purposes to be there are all different..
thanks..

Very moody compo, I like the way he looks outside and the people at the front. A bit overexposed at the top but still a very good job.

Fantastic exposure for a really nice result. Excellent composition. A lot of details and only a small burned zone. Cheer!
