Photographer’s Note
This was one of the small, but effective surprises that Krakow offers to its visitors. I was in a hurry, passing by one of the numerious cafes at the main square, when my attention was attracted by a strange silhouette. A man, and yet not a real man. Holding two fresh-cut red roses!
Is he waiting for his beloved one? And watching the couple at the next table with sadness and envy that they're together, and he's lonely?
Is the love of his life going to come?

I apologize for the quality of the photo, as I was in a hurry, I didn't see how the photo looked. I tried to improve it with more sharpness and increased contrast.

Nice to see the picture from my city.
This is Piotr Skrzynecki.Born 2nd September 1930 in Warsaw, died 27th April 1997 in Krakow. Head and emcee of the Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret, actor and organiser of artistic events. Legendary leader of Polish cultural and social life, perpetuator of Krakow's tradition of artistic Bohemia of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
