Temple Bar - Wall of Fame Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a photo taken in busy Temple Bar. It dates from 1707. It was named after Sir William Temple. A bar was a term for a walkway along a river - the walkway used by the Temple family, along the Liffey, hence Temple Bar.

The wall shows many of the famous Irish musicians - U2, Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, Sinead O'Connor, Phil Lynnot, Christy Moore, Luke Kelly, and many more.

Temple Bar is full of life, with music, drink and food to be found. Well worth a wander.

Hi Paul!

I love your photo, you've captured the magician and wonderful atmosphere at night of Dublin in Temple Bar, where besides to drink and to eat you can listen in direct the sounds of the traditional musical instruments of Ireland. I like the wall where appear U2. They're my favorite band.

Very interesting daily life scene and well chosen crop.
It's a great idea to put photos of Irish musicians on the wall as the country really needs to be proud of them (U2 especially).

Hi Paul,

an interesting everyday life shot with people milling about the street. Good to see the pictures of the musicians on the wall, adds a lot of interest. Well chosen angle and well cropped to get the 'Wall of Fame' sign in. Good one mate.
