Photographer’s Note

With a land mass of 82,880 sq km, of which only 35% has been cultivated, any avid traveller needs only to drive 20 mins away from the city to catch an glimpse of the beautiful desertscapes.

As you travel furthur away from the city the desert sands start to saturate from golden browns to rich deep reds due the presence of iron oxide in the sands.

This shot was taken on route to rocky mountainous region of Hatta, which is about 100km away from the city. At one specific point the desert merges with the mountains painting a stark contrast between the different terrains that surround the U.A.E.

Great lighting, contrast & texture, especially in the foreground dune. I'd crop away some of the sky.

The colours are absolutely magnificent! The play od light and shadow on the sand is very well captured, a shot full of texture. Great addition to my theme.
IMO I find the heavy frame a bit overbearing, but that is just an opinion, others will probably disagree.

Great landscape with so warm colors. The foreground is very interesting as we can see the little waves made by the wind on the sand.

Nice light to pick up the textures and different colours in the sand. The darker area, of the dry salt pan isn't quite as clear, but the colours there still show up well.

Beautiful colors. Very nice composition. The textures of the dunes are so nice. Very good sharpness. Gives the wind blown feel. I like the plain beyond, especially. And capped by a beautiful sky. Very nice.

Très très beau ! les couleurs sont magnifiques, tu nous offre une symphonie d'oranges superbe ! Le seul reproche c'est le cadre noir qui ferme toutes perspectives de voyages, d'évasions.
