Photographer’s Note

Only resized the picture.
Orogenesis
The Pindos mountains are folded mountains and they are formed during the so called Alpinistic Folding during which also the Himalayan and Alps were formed and all these mountains are relatively young mountains.
Folded mountains are created by the continental plateaus as they are moving towards one another. When they collide the other plateau folds under the other one and its stone material starts melting. The continental plateau on top begins to fold and to the line of collision is formed a sharp, young folded mountain chain.
