Photographer’s Note
A lunchtime snack with olives and cheese. I have to say that I really don't like olives so I resisted buying one of these strudels. But I did like their composition in the window.
I was lucky here not to get any reflections when shooting through the glass window.

Olive e formaggio! My favorite combination! A great detail of italian way of life! Congratulations!

Well composed and contrasted details.
I presume it could be beautiful in BW too.
...please, in Venice try to taste other typical specialities like biscuits ( buranei ).
Ciao,
Silvio

Good food shot: I like the lines formed by the strudel and the colours the olives give to the image.
Thanks for sharing.

I get hungry seeing these strudels and I love olives.

Hej Jonathan,
A nice idea to capture this snack. All the olives create a nice effect and the little sign is a good addition. Well done!

Hi Jonathan,
In austria strudel is more like a dessert, here they make it a lunchtime snack, very funny.
You don't like olive, I surely do , I certainly buy one of these ;-)

A funny picture, almost like a cartoon.
Some reflection in the window but good clarity and sharpness.

Hi Jonathan,
You certainly did well to avoid the reflection through the glass; its more like you were on the inside...I don't normally find food shots that interesting, but this one is quite outstanding, with the clarity, the stacked strudels, and the almost three dimensional appearance. My mouth is watering. Well captured, Jonathan.

Pleasing image, cropped tightly and well. Interesting patterns of the rolls and the olives. Some of the dough is a little overexposed perhaps, but that is a minor point. Nicely finished photo, taken through glass without distortion or reflection - well done.

An unusual post for you, Jonathan, but well executed. Like you, I am not partial to olives, but I love those Italian cheese strudels! Good sharpness and well composed with the sign. Cheers . . . David
