Photographer’s Note
Welcome to Albenza
Being planned by the British partnership Cotton & Sutton, Bergamo Golf Club was officially inaugurated on 19th March 1961.
It is located between enchanting meadows and age-old trees, next to the Orobic hills, which come first the Alps. Here Golf, nature and culture blend together, also thanks to the numerous treasures and opportunities offered by the close-by city of Bergamo, with its surroundings, its valleys and its tourist structures and accommodations.
Following the 1987 inauguration of the last 9 holes, Bergamo Golf Club “L’Albenza” boasts a wonderful course, consisting of 27 holes of high technical and architectural standard.
Albenza course has also hosted high level national and international competitions, during the years, of professional and amateur level; among them, the prestigious 53rd Italian Open, a stop of the 1996 European Men’s Tour.
The competition schedule, which is always rich and stimulating, attracts every year several golfers from other Clubs, who honour “L’Albenza” with their presence.
Bergamo Golf Club offers a beautiful, large and well equipped Club House, designed by the architect Sandro Angelini.
The Club House has a bar, a restaurant, changing rooms and other services; moreover guests and members can rely on a cordial, efficient and professional staff, ready to satisfy their requests.
The Club structures include a swimming pool, a driving range, a pitching area and two putting greens. Trolleys, carts and caddies are also available for interested guests.
Finally the Club takes care of the younger ones, offering a qualified baby-sitting service in a reserved children area.

This photo of yours Paolo, should be examine by some golf course' designers.
Why? Because that is the quintessence of beauty and location, and charm.
But then…Doesn't matter how skilled you are with the course designing, still…It has to be located somewhere in Italy (the vicinity of Bergamo, perhaps?).
Absolutely captivating scene, presented to us with utmost elegance by you, my friend.
Relax for my eyes. Thanks signore Ardiani.
