Play misty for me Photo

Photographer’s Note

Early in December 2003 my husband and I took a trip to Clarens, in the Golden Gate vicinity. I have posted several other photos from this trip. Driving out early in the morning, we caught the sun just as it was coming up. The mist was still hanging in the valley, giving a marvellous play of light and shadow. I made my husband pull over so that I could take some pictures. Fortunately he's also a keen photographer, so it didn't take too much convincing! :-)

I really like it, Su. Great interplay of light and shade, and the aerial perspective is lovely, too! My first reaction was that the image would benefit from removing the dark foreground, but it won't work :) The faintest hint of magenta in the clouds also balances the dark green of the foreground very nicely. Thanks for a great shot.
