Photographer’s Note

This photo shows the typhoon shelter in Causeway Bay.

Although there was a very cloudy sky, a beam to light seemed to get through and hit these luxury yachts.

The large building in the background is
Two International Finance Center (2IFC)
in the Central District of Hong Kong Island.

The title comes from a character created by the British comedian Harry Enfield. "Loadsamoney" was an obnoxious character who constantly boasted about how much money he earned. (Wikipedia - Harry Enfield)

now..this is an image that i probably never see in romania:)))those biiig buildings and great yachts!!

The weather gives a good atmosphere on this one, Andrew - you get an interesting lighting from the sunrays making their way through the cloudy cover, and the contrasts in this richly detailed scene appear to be well pronounced. Good framing too with the luxury yachts in the foreground.

Hi Andrew,
Well composed and rendered with excellent clarity. I like the proportions here, with a generous slice of shimmering water, followed by the two luxury boats, with modern buildings to match in the background. The rather rusty looking mooring buoys are a nice touch and provide a little contrast to the look of luxury. Well captured, Andrew. Regards.

Hi Andrew,
The lighting is excellent with that cloudy sky of the background. I think it'd be nicer if a wider angle shot was taken so the boats are less 'imposing'. But it's still a very nice shot illustrating HK's harbour life. Nicely done ;)

A pity he's practically retire this millenium, but I always preferred Pauk Whitehouse anyway. Good title for this. Interesting illustration, with that trademark backdrop.

Hey Andrew,

No other city like Hong Kong is quite like this with its unending growth. This is one of the lifestyle Hong Kong residents’ expresses ones powers of materialist progress.

Image quality is good, image is clear ,sharp despite the gloomy cast just adding up contrast to the sleek white yacht.
