Photographer’s Note

2nd post from la Marche des Fiertés.

Marianne is the name given the feminine profile with the Phrygian hat reproduced on french coins, and it's usually drawn after a famous french movie actress or that sort of things.

Needless say, the colors of the french flags stay the same, but on a sunny parisian afternoon, last Saturday, our national Marianne offered a profile slightly off tradition.

hello Hervé, j'aime beaucoup ce portrait avec un bon piqué et sa peau foncée ressort bien par rapport à l'arrière plan, bravo et bon voyage

A dramatic and patriotic portrait, Herve, and an interesting social comment! When will he have Marianne in an Islamic head scarf? When will she be a handicapped woman or a transsexual? Values are changing even in La Belle France, I see, but not too quickly, I hope. Regards Kevin
