Photographer’s Note
I took this picture during a stop on the way from La Paz to Copacabana. I used a Polarizer filter, which produces this dramatic effect with the clouds. On the other side of the lake you can see Perou.
I repost the picture on March 1st 2004 with larger resolution.

This wouldn't happen to be taken anywhere near Huatajata by any chance? Those islands do look like something I've seen before ;-) It's a beautiful place, at any rate, and you had good luck with the light. I take it the somewhat "woollen" appearance is due to the scan. The sky also has a few dust particles left that you might consider cloning out.

very beautiful...clouds and landline fit graphically as if they are sketched...thanks for showing such a nice place..
