Photographer’s Note
I was passing by, in one of Dubai street (Souk), when I noticed that old man sat in the middle of, of, of... nowhere! He was just there, enjoying his cigarette. This is a momment of cultural exposure, when we think about the so many differences amid so many cultures. I gently asked him if I could take a picture of him. He waved his left hand positively. Was he a beggar? don't think so. Was it a hot day? definetely yes. Was he allowed to sit in the street like that? who cares, if he wasn't disturbing nor disrespecting anyone... They can't be more careless with regards to fashion, trends, and behavior rules of society. They do respect everyone though. I learned a lot with the arabs, specially how to simply relax and enjoy momments of my life, in particular the present, cuz the past is gone for good and the future is always a surprise to come. Since then, I stick to the present. A trip to Dubai, I recommend to everyone!!!!
