Photographer’s Note
A view from the same location as my last post, this is the old corn mill that lies in at the heart of Jesmond Dene, the water here walls over a large waterfall underneath the bridge, the mill stands unoccupied. The mill ceased operation when Lord Armstrong made the Dene into a park. Jesmond Dene Mill was previously known as Heaton Corn Mill and Mable’s Mill. There has been a mill on this site since the 13th centuary however, the present ruins date from 19th centuary. Uses have included flour, pig meal and flint for the Ouseburn Pottery industry. This shot was taken facing away from the sun, the light was very strong giving the different intensities of light in this shot.

In spite of vivid colours you captured the atmosphere of mystery and curiosity. Thanks the touch of light on the branches I think. As to the composition - I'd like to know were there possibility to show the mill less central. But it's not a matter of croping. Nice photo. Regards T.
