Photographer’s Note
From a top Taratara rock, the entire Kahoe valley unfolds like a story. We climbed up in less than ideal conditions; but managed to stay mostly dry the entire way... In the distance you can see breaks in the clouds light the ground like spotlights on a stage. I particularly liked the drama in the clouds, and so I exposed for them allowing much of the ground to fall into shadow.
