This is a wonderful shot. You've captured the railing perfectly in a way that forms a smooth arc from the bottom left around to the right and over the bridge to the center. It acts like a path that allows the viewer to take an active part in the photo. Also, although I prefer color photography to black and white, the black and white works well here with the decaying building and apparently and also adds the feeling of it being a cool or cold day, as the people in jackets would suggest it is.

yes i think it is a wonderful shot, showing the caracter of an old Italian city... emphasised by the couple on the right
