Photographer’s Note
North Falls plunges 136 ft. from a volcanic ledge into a steep and narrow canyon. Behind the falls is a cavernous cut-back from the bank and in the roof above can be seen casts of tree trunks which were incinerated in the ancient lava flow. This was also a sacred site for Native Americans.
