Photographer’s Note
It's mid-summer in Australia. It is Victoria and just north of the great dividing range which is green with tall eucalypts and mountain ash. It's dry and cleared at this spot. It's noon and the sun is directly above. It's 30°C and the rock is left exposed after the grass-hay has been bailed and collected. I need a cool drink. Polaroid filter used. Resubmitted picture using zoom.

I really like this, but it needs to be cropped. Not sure how much of the left side needs to go, but at least 10% if not much more. Gret elements within the shot.

The photo is very nice, i like it especially the Rock in the middle. The rock look very unit with the moutain ash behind.
I agree with gravatar it needs to be cropped.
Good shot.

Hi Barry. This is nice, and guess what - I just realised that I was in Yea on the 5th as well - maybe we passed each other in the street! As we drove through the countryside I kept telling my husband how much I love the colour and shape of these dry hills. I would be tempted to saturate this just a fraction (though I always admire photographers who resist that temptation). As far as cropping is concerned, I'd crop a little from the right rather than the left because I'd hate to lose the lovely curve of the grass against the sky.
