Photographer’s Note
While walking through the huge bizarre in Damascus, I couldn't help but notice this old guy weaving his cart full of nut bars through the crowd. He looked like such a character that I just had to go buy a bar from him, so that I could ask to take his photo.
Given the short time frame, and the low-lighting conditions of this covered bizarre, I had problems with shutter speeds and hence focus. This was probably the sharpest image out of the series of shots I took. Does the man in the background bother you? I think that maybe it adds an element of activity, of hustle-and-bustle, to an otherwise static image...

Hi Chris.
I think the image has enough sharpness and it amazed me. I hoped to see him closer than this. Probably making a portrait would have been better. So I tried to make it look like a portrait in WS, please have a look at it.

I love everything about this shot, the background blur isolates the subject and also gives a 3D effect to the image. The exposure is spot on bringing out all the detail not just in his face but also the texture of his clothing. What amazes me though is how you hand held at 1/13th of a seconf and still got such sharpness

Strong composition and good photo. I agree with you on the man in the background.
