Photographer’s Note
Taken at dusk in winter from a hotel room near the Grand Place. The spire is City Hall, on the Grand Place, with a statue of St. Michael vanquishing the forces of the devil on top. The combination of so many differents kind of light was the main attraction. I rather like the result, in spite of obvious technical flaws. Processing: Resized and applied mild edge sharpness filter.

Amazing! The street where I walk everyday to go from the station to my office taken by an American! I think you were at Novotel "Grand Place". Indeed, it is very hard to do a compromise between the very strong light of the shops and the darkness of the roof. Thought, the house are very nice! Well done!

Wow Claude... a fantastic shot with beautiful lighting. The shops, the building, and the steeple in the distance... Perfect!

Small world - and I'm seeing more of it through TE. The photo isn't spoiled too much by the blown highlights, and we can see plenty of detail in the buildings. Nice shot.
Points tomorrow, I'm in deficit again!

Très belle exposition, joli point de vue, moment bien choisi! La petite frange violette sur les toits est très sympathique. Et cela change des photos de la Grand Place prise de la Grand Place. Bien joué!
