Photographer’s Note
The winter sunsets here in the UK have been some of the most dramatic and beautiful I have ever seen. This one later produced a sun like a huge ball of orange that slowly disappeared, leaving the whole of the visible sky an eerie orange and pink colour. Typically, I was driving at the time and couldn't stop and photograph it's spectacular disappearance.
Have done nothing to the colours here, just sharpened, resized and applied a border.

Thanks for looking :-)

Terrific sunset. A good proportion of sky/houses - quite a spectacular sky-carpet you captured! I'm fond of these, too.

Bonsoir Vicky,
tout à fait super et réussi.
Un cadrage parfait, des teintes bien saturées.
Beaucoup d'esthétique dans les nuages.
Regards from Belgium.

Hi Vicky
What an amazing sunset - colours of the sky are fantastic. The silhouets on the skyline are spot-on.

Great Lord, this is awesome
The way the clouds form an eyecatching frame, with wellmatched house silhouettes below.
I think it was a good decision, not to fiddle with the colours, cause increased saturation would probably draw the eyes from the formation of clouds. I think it is very good job done..

Do you know what Vicky, I will have a go now...
I always thought it was pointless trying to get a good sunset against my city dwellings. The tiny proportion of the rooftops in the foreground are a really good contrast to that vast, open and overpowering sky...The sky dominates anything which may be going on in any of those houses underneath...a reminder of nature in that sky, and what is beyond it...making our presence seem really quite insignificant on the grand scheme of things...
