Photographer’s Note
I had the best hot links in my life at this barbeque in Harlem. Nice and spicy.

There is a lot to look at in this photo. However, I sense that this scene was captured between moments. Everyone is scattered around the yard, but I can't see how they're interacting with each other. If they were all laughing at a common joke or listening intently to a speaker, I would feel the connection more. But everyone's looking off in a different direction without clear purpose. Because this is such a sparse setting (dry grass, chain-link fence, bring wall...), I really need emotion from the people to make this image work for me. I feel that this misses the "decisive moment".

intriguing photo, Adam... it reminds me the 60´s in the US, you know? Luther King and the like.
