On the Sile river Photo

Photographer’s Note

A little postcard from Casier, a nice, quiet village some km. in south of Treviso, along the Sile river.
In fact, this was in the past a real harbor: from here (and from Treviso) was shipped the most vegetables, fruits and above all wheat for the necessity of Venezia (Venice).
The river Sile go directly in the venetian lagoon and is a natural, easy way for the hinterland.
Now is essentially a (very little) touristic harbor, for to fisch (above all the eeles) and in the last years even for home-boats (rentered), with whose you can easily visit the river, the lagoon and above all Venezia.
A possibility that only few tourist know, for the moment, surely more economical than an hotel in Venezia, and also romantic!.
In the image you see the 'main' (!) square of Casier, the beginning of the port and a very good small restaurant.
The belfry was recently restored, and can resemble the SanMarco bell tower.
In the warm and quiet atmosphere of the autumn's beginning, its can be a very relaxing place.
I can guarantee it, i run here over the enbarkments at least tree times a week! ;-D))

Hi Giorgio,
Good and intereting informative guideline notes with a excelent postcard of this beautiful place. Excelent angle of view with a good enquadrement. I like the brighty light in the tower and near buildings. Fine color and contrast. A warm and peaceful atmosphere and mood.

Ciao Giorgio, bella foto che trasmette tranquillità e fa rilassare...sento quasi il rumore dell'acqua che scorre...gli uccelletti che cantano, il campanile che fa suonare le campane....pace pura....poi esco dallo studio...e sento "AHHHHHHHHHHHOOO BIIJJJJJJETTTTTTTTTTTIIII".

ho lo studio a fianco a S.Siro...oggi c'è Inter-Roma e c'è stata la solita invasione barbarica di bagarini!

Giorgio from teh bushes on the left to the tower on teh right and of course the middle focal point, I see all these elements combined to make a really interesting and inviting photo. A very well balanced capture!
