Photographer’s Note

Garlic is one of the main staple foods of South Korea, and is added to almost all their main dishes. It is a common sight here to see garlic trucks that have the bed of the truck filled to overflowing with cloves of garlic. A driver of one of these trucks had parked near my house as he was playing the loudspeaker to advertise his goods. I walked over and got permission to photograph the garlic...a wide view and this macro. He probably thought I was insane. :)

I only resized and framed this one.

Hi Joy,
I really like the effect created here with these cloves of garlic. It is very interesting. I like the monochrome look, composition and framing very much. Clever shot!
