Photographer’s Note
This would be my last photo in the highway series.
I just wanted to end by posting more of a conventional photo of the highway with a slow shutter speed but you do have an additional airplane taking off in the left side of the photo from an airport in Toronto.
For more details about this highway please look at my previous posts.
401 @ 427
Taking Off,
Busieset Highway in Canada
Sorry about posting nothing new, I just wanted to end the highway series with a conventional shot, so I had an urge to post this photo.

Great, great, dynamic shot, Sarju! It is so funny as I have just looked at my own evening shot of a few days ago, if not of the runway...
Fantastic colours and movement, a great pic, Sarju!

Nice shot Sarju;
How did you make it across all that traffic?
The final result is well worth the risk!?! Hahaha...
Good amount of detail and clarity in the streaming lights. Have you tried using a polarising filter when doing these night shots? I find it cuts down on quite a bit of the glare....
Cheers Sarju,
- Dan
P.S.- No offence taken on your last critique ;-)
I've taken your comments to heart and posted a full color photo! (Although I cannot guarantee what the next one may be).

You seem to specialize in these highway shots lately. It's a great image worth a more original title. No, I have no suggestions...

Conventional photo? I think not. It has a lot of work.
You got here a blue sky, not a black one, which I personally find better and gives more attractive to the image. The red and white lines give a sence of very fast speed, though it also seems to be a still picture because nothing is blurred. The airplane –just the perfect extra thing.

Hi Sarju
Great technical skill and good slow shutter that produced such beautiful effect.
It's nice to have two different lines of lighting that you have captured.
Great work, pal.

A gem ...
This is not a conventional shot buddy.
The speed can be felt from the red and yellow lines seen here.

Nothing to apologise for Sarju. I like the symmetry here and the balance between headlights and tail-lights seems to be equal. Well done

Nothing to be sorry about Sarju. I enjoy this serie, and I dont think that I am the only one ;-)
This is an excellent exposure. Nothing is blown out, and the colors are appealing. Using a tripod here also makes all the difference, as it has allowed you to keep the lamposts nice and sharp, while creating the motion blur of the cars and the plane.
Thanks for this very interesting series, have a nice week-end - Paul

Hi Sarju,
Another great night shot of the 401. I wonder how you could stop your car on the 427 to take this shot :) The light are excellent with the stars on the road lights.

Hi Sarju!
I like your picture a lot. The lights on the highway are very well taken, but the plane taking off is something I had never seen before (I mean, in this kind of pictures).
Very well done!

Javier

Hi Sarju,
Another great shot from your highway series. I like this one even more than the similar one posted entitled "Taking Off" because the exposure here is impeccable. The symmetry and POV astound, and one feels as if one is standing above the highway in the median bedazzled by the light and action. One word for your series, Sarju - scintillating!

I wonder if I could count the white lines and then divide by two! At any rate a lovely photo. Cheers Sarju. Very striking lines.

Hi Sarju, I like the symmetric composition. It is clear dividing of the coming and leaving traffic from the different colors of the light. Interesting long exposure to show the smoothed trajectory of the traffic. Nice capture of the airplane taking off. A very well taken picture.

I realy like this work you have done here;
This is a very good night shot done with a great technique.
Quality is excellent and we even know about the direction of the circulation by the colors :-))
Lines and balance makes it very interesting.
Compliments

I meant to comment on your highway pictures before, but somehow it hasn't happened yet. I really like them- the way they have that speed to it. The lights are perfect with the red and white, but in this one, the starbursts on the sidewalk lights are great. Nice job

Excellente photo Sarju !
Les véhicules selon leur sens donnent ou des lumières rouges ou blanches, ces lignes convergent vers l'horizon et les lampadaires se prennent pour des étoiles. C'est un régal pour les yeux.

Hi Sarju,
This is a photo about motion, the car lights in both direction add not only color but as well a lot of dynamism, the street lights could be more stary but that goes beyond the limits of your camera in terms of aperture. From my point of view a success !
Have a nice day,

Hi Sarju - fantastic geometry hand sense of fast motion, the starry streetlights look great, the plane is also a nice touch, I would not have noticed it without the note.

Hi Sarju,
Brilliant work here with all those speed and action and ending with the explosive sparkles. I love the plane taking off as it seems to pull those coloured lines up into the air. Very dramatic indeed. Congratulations!! All the best.

Great POV with a wonderful timed exposure. I do like the bonus of the airplane taking off, looks like a car went off the freeway and had a really bad accident, LOL!
TFS, my northern friend!

The lamps look like stars a plane is gonna join. During that time, life goes and come back...
Beautiful and graphic (The plane is a useful detail).

Hi Sarju
I like the converging lines of the blurred traffic lighting. Interesting to see white on the right, & red on the left. (Other way round in Australia). The aircraft light 'lifts' the shot to new heights. ;-) Tfs.

What an impressive shot this is. And the lines are so straight! I don't have the opportunity to take shots of the motorway but this has inspired me. Great stuff!
