I'm watching you! Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is just a detail of a surrounding building of Piazza Unità in Trieste, my hometown.

The Poseidon statue seems to say: "pay attention! I'm watching you!" ...and the dark light of the evening sky create a minacious atmosphere... so be careful when you come and visit Trieste! ;)

ps. the statue was pretty far from me, so i had to use a large zoom, and this choice, in addiction to a few surrounding light (no tripod), create some noise in the image.

La luce calda del faro che illumina Poseidone gli regala sfumature di giallo che ben si sposano con il blu scuro del fondo creando un contrasto "mistico"... è vero! ..ci guarda.. e speriamo che il suo sguardo sia benevolo.

Hi Roberta,

Well seen. With this light coming from below and his general attitude, Poseidon seems to be dominating the people saying "don't bring mess here !". The sky in the background makes it look even more dramatic.

Bella foto Roberta. Buona l'idea di fotografare il Poseidone illuminato dall'attraente luce di un faro in tarda serata. Buon contrasto con il cielo grigio. Questo risulta un po' granuloso. Ma buona composizione.

Good composition and exposure control! Too bad the statue is not that sharp, but overall, very nice picture, which convey a dark atmosphere..

A very interesting composition and I find the grain of the rather artistic photograph, that changes Neat Image where all is smoothed... The sky was quite charged and the light is good.

Good shot, considering the conditions. Well composed shot. I tried a workshop to sharpen the image and reduce noise.

I really like the POV of this picture, nice choice of framing. The picture is a little bit granular(Noisy) but still a good picture
