Photographer’s Note
On a recent trip to Shanghai I got up at 5am and trekked to the city's largest park. Hundreds and hundreds of people were up and about exercising. This is one of the more secluded areas in the park. The light wasn't perfect as it was a super smoggy day and the trees blocked most of the soft light on this walkway, but the subject just had to be photographed. The park's name was Renmin Park by the way.

For me the light works, no problems here. Composition wise you managed to create something amazing...I really like the choice of DOF as well as the position of both men in the image. Wonder how this would look in B&W.

This is excellent, and in my opinion, the lighting here works for the photo, not against it. Very nice composition, with a great main subject, and the secondary subject and background nicely indistinct. I really like the shot very much, although there is one small change I wish you would have made when you took it. I think had you moved slightly to your right, while keeping the main guy in the same spot in the from, you could have improved your composition even more. This would have put the background guy closer to the top right hand corner, which would be better IMO, and the tree which seems to be coming out of his left ear would no longer be doing so. All of this being said, this is an excellent shot, both emotionally and technically as well.

Good, nice take, I like much the pose in marial arts. I don't know if enting is the best, also background is qquite not in focus,
relex autofocus cameras.
Calm, relaxed, and stlyled shot!

A lot of concentration and self-control - this is what radiates from this shot. The blurred background and the framing work pefectly to reinforce the feeling of inner power and strong will. Just great!

i really like the effect created with focus on the foreground here : the eye goes first to the center guy who's really blurred and suddenly realizes that there's a guy ready to step and pop out of the image at the lower border of the frame.
Nice soft but light tones too, that enhance a "morning wake up" feeling.
