Photographer’s Note
I´ve posted a series from my window , and in some shots, a very nice building can be viewed: the Tomie Ohtake Cultural Institute´s tower (see #3 , #4 and #5 }.
“Though it is still a work in progress, the Tomie Ohtake Cultural Institute promises to be one of São Paulo’s main attractions for art-lovers. Its namesake is one of Brazil’s greatest living artists, who arrived in Brazil in 1936 as a Japanese tourist, and decided to stay.
The museum's success is no accident. The traffic-stopping building at the Pinheiros (northern) end of Avenida Faria Lima, with its wavy blue and maroon walls and giant looming tower. Mrs Ohtake's two sons have had a big hand in its creation: one, Ruy, designed the building and the other, Ricardo, is the institute’s director. Besides exhibiting Mrs Ohtake’s abstract paintings and engravings, the gallery also has space for temporary shows by other artists. (The first big exhibition, in early 2002, was a retrospective of the work of Arne Jacobsen, a Danish designer). For the peckish, the institute's café offers a fine salad buffet and an à la carte menu. The centre's 750-seat theatre is still in the works.” ( The Economist)
See more at Ruy Ohtake´s website -sorry- in Portuguese.
As a workshop, I´ve posted a version taken with my canon a300, in a cloudy winter day.

Very clever point of view you have here, Carmem. All those waved face forms are very obvious and are well considered in your shot - so very good cropping / composition. I really like this view.

Nice perspective, the height of the building seems impressive. I think I prefer the darker colors of the workshop and the larger view it gives on the building.

Oi, Carmem,
