Photographer's Note

This is Repyakhovka village in Krasnoyaruzhskiy District of Belgorod Oblast of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian word “repyakh” (or “lopukh” in Russian and Ukrainian) means a burdock. This plant was brought in the Western Europe by the Russian cavalry at the beginning of XIX century.

The Pokrovskaya church, which you can see in the picture, was built not earlier than in 2010.
