Photographer’s Note
I took this picture in Manhattan with my brand new Nikon D70. In my mind, it was a B&W picture (I liked the structure of squares and lines, between the windows and the emergency stairs, plus the tree on the left side). On the post production, I turned it into a B&W picture, but I also liked the idea of maintaining the red curtain in colour. So, this is the result.

good job! i don't really prefer partially saturated photos but this is yet another one that works very well. inspires me to try one myself one of these days! tfs.

There are many motives on this photo. Stairs, three flors of the building, tree and red curtain. I think this is the reason it looks funny for me. Strong light made it more and shadows made it more complicated. Interesting work!
