The city of Salamanca has one of the most beautiful historical center of all the cities in Spain.
It has a lot of monuments, as the two Cathedrals (the new one and the old one), both beside one to each other, the University, the Mayor Scuare, and others as the House of “Las Conchas” (The Shells), which has its two outside stone walls with the ornamental motive of more than 400 pilgrim shells, which are the symbol of the Order of Santiago.
In the interior, this house has this courtyard you see in the photo, with two floors, usually full of tourists, but in the momment I dit the photo, nobody was in it (very lucky).
This unusual building was built at the start of the 16th century, and it can be considered as the civilian building most representative of the art of the era of the Catholic Kings.
I like the sunlight in the center of the courtyard, that iluminates all the arches and columns, from inside to outside. I hope you like it too.

La ciudad de Salamanca tiene uno de los mas bellos centros históricos de entre todas las ciudades españolas. Tiene muchos monumentos, como las dos catedrales “la nueva” y “la vieja”, (ambas pegadas una al lado de la otra), la Universidad, la Plaza Mayor, y otros como la Casa de las Conchas, la cual tiene, en sus dos paredes exteriores de piedra, como motivo decorativo, mas de 400 conchas de peregrino, que representan el símbolo de la Orden de Santiago.
En su interior, esta casa tiene este patio que veis en la foto, con dos plantas, normalmente lleno de turistas, pero en el momento que hice la foto, no había nadie (paciencia y mucha suerte).
Este edificio atípico fue construido a principios del siglo XVI, y puede considerarse como el edificio civil más representativo del arte de la época de los Reyes Católicos.
Me gusta la luz del sol en el centro del patio, que ilumina los arcos y las columnas, desde dentro hacia fuera. Espero que os guste.
