Barbie Hour on The Peninsula Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is again Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. In my humble opinion it rivals that other amazing stretch of Victorian coastline, the Great Ocean Road. Being a small Peninsula, everything is within a short drive - you can criss-cross from coast to coast within 20 minutes and have such diverse landscapes as this shot and that of my rainbow at Rye. The rock formations are wonderful and (as I live on the East Coast) provides the rare opportunity of seeing a sun set over the sea.

Good title going well to this pink mood lanscape :-)
It should have been a nice moment.
I can not really judge the composition as the photo is extrem in light management as I am on my portable PC with a not good screen regarding the contrast.

Hi Lisa,
So you are into the "pink hour" now! The colours are great and the reflections amazing - the water is like a mirror for the pretty clouds, I guess there was no motion in the FG due to the low tide? Great composition, good light management, good definition.

Are you having as much trouble as I am trying to get onto TE, its that dam slow and keeps dropping out all the time - very frustrating hey.
Anyway I like the colour of this shot awesome.

What cool pink tones, if that isn't a contradiction in terms :-) A calm and peaceful scene just right for a barbecue I guess, though I'm afraid they're not my favourite way of eating. Thanks for sharing.

here you can see very good that the very heavy distortions of your lens by the horizon. thanks for showing me this. I think for a wide shot like this you can better use the canon 17-40 if you have that lens. the composition is good, no doubt about that, good photo job here Lisa, have a good day.

in questa bella foto il cielo ha inondato della sua luce rosata non solo il mare, ma anche la spiaggia. Affascinanti le silhouettes scure delle rocce, bella ripresa che accentua la prospettiva, ammalianti i colori.

Bon avec les problèmes ces derniers jours pour se connecter à TE, j'ai eu du mal d'arriver jusque là !
Cette composition teintée de rose est splendide, tout est réuni pour un paysage grandiose : un ciel chargé de beaux nuages, les rochers plongés dans l'ombre donnent un super contraste. Un grand bravo à toi !

come ti ha giustamente detto Santo, sono un amante dei riflessi, per cui vedere questo stupendo cielo infuocato riflesso sul mare è veramente un piacere per me. Come nella tua precedente foto, anche qui hai giocato bene con la profondità di campo e la luce, creando una piacevole atmosfera drammatica. Molto bella, bravissima!

il titolo mi piace molto è un po' bizzarro ma ben si addice con il colore del cielo. Queste lunghe esposizioni di giorno sono spettacolari come bellissimo è il paesaggio.

This one is another spectacular capture of the Australian coast, in a magnificent composition because of these beautiful pink tones that contrast with the dark silhouettes of the rocks that splash the beach.
The light is magnificent.
