Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken from Moskovskyi Bridge over the Dnieper River towards Obolon region of the Ukrainian capital Kiyiv. This newly built residential block boasts the city’s most prestigious and fashionable apartments. In addition, there is the famous brewery "Obolon Ltd" there.

As the well-known Russian writer Nikolay Golol, which was born in Ukraine, wrote in his story "A Terrible Vengeance",
“Dnieper is wonderful at a silent weather...”

Hello Sergyi,

A composition very well balanced with the incurving coast and a good balalnce between the part for the sea and the part for the coats. The high buildings give a very nice graphic effect full of rythm. Nice colors well collected too.

Amazing for me to see this picture! A place I'd love to visit someday in my life (maybe, who knows it??!!)!
It seems progress has arrived around there with the more modern highrises, but still there are some old and beautiful architecture around! I also like all the vegetation and the waters that wide river!
Sharpness, exposure, dof, pov, colors and composition are excellent!

when I studied geography a long time ago I learned so much about this river that it is a great pleasure for me to see this wonderful image! Very well composed impression of this incredibly blue waterway that still looks quite natural. The surrounding architecture is impressive! The framing is correct to obtain this deep perspective and the sight of the skyline of the city in the shore of the river.
I like the integration of the vegetation with the architecture, while the intense blue of the water is outlined in a good contrast with the sky.

A really fine composition. Very attractive diagonal lines. The construction crane is a great inclusion since it actually indicate that these buildings are newly built. Also excellent colours and lighting. TFS and have a nice weekend!

The accesses of this river saw growing of resolutely modern constructions besides some architectures which kept the style of the area, I see. Superb panorama where the beautiful color of the river gives an excellent contrast with the remainder of the landscape. Hello Sergiy, Nice panoramic view along the river, the gentle curves are very appealing as is the rich blue colour of the water. The green algae? in the water adds interest, colour & some contrast, a good inclusion. seeing those crane working is a good sign that the economy is not doing too bad, I think. Well done, nice view, well captured.

I like how the river is divided from the city by this belt of greenery!
It is interesting the way you create depth in the composition, with the diminishing buildings along the riverside...
