Photographer’s Note
Munich's central square is dominated by the impressively ornate New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) and is a great congregating spot in the Old Town (Altstadt).
There is a tower in New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) that one can climb or take the elevator for a view of Marienplatz and the surroundings of the old city.
Another interesting place in Marienplatz is an Old City Hall (Alte Rathaus) which is now a toy museum.
The words "new" and "old" (about Town Hall and Marienplatz) are relative because the old city of Munich (altstadt) has been totally rebuilt since the bombing ravages of WWII. Most of the buildings are very faithful recreations of the original buildings from the 14th to 19th centuries.
Enjoy,
Mike :-)

Helle Mike!
Impressively beautiful are the real words for such architectural details! What a pity to know that they were practically destroyed, but fortunately they were able to reconstruct it the way they were! Urban memory are so important and many cities (in Brazil, for example) have no respect for that!
Sharpness, exposure, low pov, dof, composition and colors are excellent!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,
Neyvan

Hi Mike, Great place to visit. I was there less than a month ago and took almost the same shot. I have posted it a few days ago. This shot has a bit different tint and does not have the umbrellas that I had in my shot. It is a very good picture and almost mirrors my shot. So funny. I looked at it and thought almost a crop of mine. Ha Ha. Roger

Hello Mike
wow, amazing architecture, we don't see this in Canada.
its often difficult to compose these tall long buildings, but you managed to to it just perfectly.
and with the people , it gives us size perspective.
