Photographer’s Note
Victorian beaches seem to have alot of rock formations of this type. Whilst this is a cove at Portsea Ocean Beach, there are similar rock formations all along this coastline particularly at Sorrento and surrounding ocean beaches on the Peninsula. I found this little cove after walking for half an hour up the beach. By the time I turned back, half the beach was gone with a huge high tide. Something to really pay attention to.
I just realised that I uploaded the original shot prior to post-processing where I increased the contrast. I'll upload the intended photo in my WS when I get my new daily limit for Workshops.

Hello Lisa,
I hope your Sunday is going well. The slow exposure makes an image of two halves in this fine exposition; the sea looking like glass and the textures in the rock perfectly sharp. The panoramic format is well chosen to suit the subject. Good tonal contrasts.

Buonasera Lisa,

Hi Lisa
This brings back nice memories of a 2 week holiday at Rye. Good motion blur of the water, with excellent sharpness & graphism. I like the subtle warm cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hi Lisa,
This honeycombed outcrop looks very like sea coral (except a huge version).
I like the effect placed on the ocean and waves by the 1 sec exp.
The Melbournians would have a GGF permanently fixed on their lenses? Yes, I think so.
Cheers,
Graham.
PS: I meant this post for the GGF.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa,
f/20, what were you thinking. At least now I know what I'm giving you for Christmas, a 4 stop ND grad.
Good composition and POV, that rock does look good with the softened water swirling around it. Gee it almost looks like some blue sky in the background, must be a trick of the lens.
Have a good week.
Love Ya,
Pete

Ciao Carissima Lisa,
un piacere rivedere le tue foto.
Questa bellissima roccia che sembra una scultura si staglia contro la luce dell'Oceano ed un cielo dalle interessanti tonalità grigie.
Ottimo lavoro.
Buona domenica

Hello Lisa,
I love these kind of shots. Creepy rock formations in the water and smooth water due to the long exposure. Great light, beautiful details and wonderful colours as well. Great work!
Greetings,
Ann

Hi Lisa,
Hmm, a tough call between the two versions. The rocks look better in the worshop version, but I think I prefer the greyer sea and sky in the "mistakenly posted" one. For some reason, the gloomier colours fit better with this amazing rock formation for me (or perhaps with my mood ;-)). Cheers, Dasha
